In today’s global marketplace, long-term competitiveness relies on delivering products of the highest quality, at competitive prices, and with rapid turnaround times. Meeting strict quality standards is no longer a competitive advantage, it’s a baseline expectation. Suppliers in the Aerospace Supply Chain must have a robust Quality Management System that meets and exceeds the stringent demands of aerospace customers.

The AS9100D Internal Auditor Training Course is a day-and-a-half program designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the requirements necessary to develop and maintain an effective Quality Management System. These requirements drive process improvement, risk reduction, and a sharper focus on key process metrics, all leading to continuous improvement.

    Benefits of AS9100 Implementation

    • Enhanced quality and cost reductions across key processes.
    • Increased focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
    • Improved risk identification and mitigation throughout the AS 9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning/Production Part Approval Process.
    • Greater visibility into key process effectiveness through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Emphasis on critical product characteristics and special requirements, such as:
      • Special requirements: High-risk customer-identified needs.
      • Critical items: Processes, characteristics, parts, or software critical to product realization and use.
    • Performance-focused auditing rather than checklist-based auditing.
    • Evaluation of processes for compliance and effectiveness, guided by metrics aligned with customer satisfaction and organizational objectives.
    • Increased top management engagement with customer issues and solutions.

I grew up in a small Northern Illinois community and come from a family of hard blue-collar manufacturing workers. My career journey began as a line worker at an automotive plant; I then pursued my education and entered the world of continuous improvement in manufacturing.

Over the last 20 years, I have been fortunate to work in different industries and witness the enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication that makes it possible for organizations to reach and exceed goals. My work has included mentoring, continuous improvement, lean implementation, quality systems, and logistics. I am a true believer that when a workforce has the resources and knowledge needed to succeed, then success is obtainable.

By focusing on data and transparent communication, I can help propel any organization to the next level of success. At IMEC, I get to leverage the knowledge and skills I’ve gained in manufacturing management to continue helping Illinois manufacturers thrive and become more competitive.

    Results:
Throughout my career, I have implemented LEAN projects that had a cost savings of over 2.7 million dollars and a ROI of over 4.5 million dollars. I have successfully implemented ISO QMS systems in various facilities and through mentoring programs, and decreased employee turnover by over 70% in three separate facilities.
