  • This 8-week leadership program is crafted specifically for new or emerging supervisors, providing a foundational toolkit to guide them through the unique responsibilities of their roles. Meeting once a week for three hours over eight weeks, the curriculum emphasizes the essential skills and mindset shifts needed to lead with confidence and purpose. Participants will explore the supervisor’s role in team dynamics, learning how to manage not only their own responsibilities but also foster the growth and productivity of their teams. With a focus on practical management competencies, the program also introduces strategies for aligning team goals with organizational objectives, effective delegation, and planning techniques that maximize productivity.

Beyond technical skills, the program offers in-depth modules on leadership styles, emotional intelligence, and effective communication, all of which contribute to creating a positive, motivating work environment. Supervisors will also learn how to navigate complex team dynamics, handle conflict, and resolve issues with empathy and clarity. Additionally, participants will acquire critical human resources knowledge from performance management to stress recognition that helps them support team members’ well-being and professional development. Jeremy Smith

    Technical Specialist

With more than 10 years of manufacturing experience in complex automotive electronics, I have gained a variety of skills and knowledge that I use to enable success. My experience working with and on teams across business divisions in multiple countries has broadened my perspective on how to achieve goals and coach teams toward success. My goal is to apply the right tools in the right way at the right time to enable that success.

By viewing manufacturing through a value stream lens, my expertise in leadership, continuous improvement, productivity management, zero defects culture, visual management, total productive maintenance, supplier management, and logistics provides a large “toolbox” of systems and approaches. Through experience and data analysis, I help manufacturers apply these tools in a way that maximizes the return on investment and ensures sustainability.
