Lending a Hand
I bring a combined 20 years of expertise in manufacturing and academia to the IMEC team. With over 12 of those years being in manufacturing and workforce development, I have a sincere appreciation and love for the industry. My career started on the production floor many years ago, where I gained firsthand product knowledge. I later transitioned into the design and development which gave me a new and fresh perspective of manufacturing. Over time, I have been able to contribute to workforce and economic development solutions in the manufacturing sector.
I am passionate about sustainability, positive change, workforce development and growth, and being at IMEC allows me to help organizations further develop in those areas. I am able to assist manufacturers of all sizes across the state with identifying their needs, and build a relationship that allows me to connect manufacturers with the right resources within our organization to gain solutions to their problems.
My Background
I grew up in Northern Illinois near the Wisconsin and Iowa borders and earned a degree in Engineering Technology from Morrison Institute of Technology as well as a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management (with a Specialization in HR for the Master degree) from Ashford University. Over my working years, I have assisted in many different areas of service. From developing business to business relationships, serving on area economic development boards, as well as an advocating for skills gap awareness and what can be done to help close it, my career has been primed me to continue helping Illinois businesses build and maintain competitiveness.
