Today, more than ever, manufacturers are making workplace safety and health part of their corporate culture. Mere compliance is often not enough. Once again, however, manufacturers find themselves facing an uncertain regulatory environment as President Trump returns to the White House for a second term, and once again takes control over the vast Executive Branch bureaucracy, including the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

After several years of record-setting enforcement and a flurry of new rulemaking, the pendulum is expected to swing in the other direction. However, just how much, how quickly, and in what ways OSHA’s priorities will change remains to be seen. Enforcement will likely be scaled back, but how much? Rulemaking is all but certain to grind to a halt, but does that mean the proposed heat rule is burnt out, or that the revisions to the LOTO rule are on lockdown? This session will take a close look at what we learned from OSHA during the last four years, and more importantly, look ahead and assess what we can expect from OSHA the next four.

Join IMA for this high-energy and informative program that will connect you with peer manufacturers, safety champions, government regulators, and leading attorneys who will provide updates on important developments from federal OSHA and the State OSH Plans in surrounding states, suggest practical solutions, and offer innovative ideas to help keep your employees safe, reduce risk, and lead to better EHS outcomes for your company.

You’ll leave with a host of ideas, recommendations, and best practices aimed at helping you achieve next level safety performance!

  • Enforcement trends and new areas of emphasis
  • Audit tips and suggestions to improve safety results for your employees
  • Key Updates and Compliance Strategies
  • In-depth exploration of workplace audits, investigations, and attorney-client privilege.
  • How to avoid compliance pitfalls that expose employers to legal claims
  • Networking opportunities to learn from your manufacturing peers and your regulators.

Continental Breakfast & Lunch included.
