Join us for a strategic roundtable discussion on November 12, 2025 at 8:00 AM at The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, facilitated by Mary Hallock of IMEC and Scott Ellsworth of Jobs for the Future. 

This event will introduce you to The METAL Project (Metallurgical Engineering Trades Apprenticeship & Learning), led by IACMI—The Composites Institute® with funding from the Department of Defense’s Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program. The project is focused on building a national network of education and training providers to develop a modern, highly skilled workforce for the metals industry.

Presenter

Mary Hallock

VP of Operations of IMEC

Mary Hallock is the Vice President of Operations at IMEC, where she plays a pivotal role in driving growth and excellence for manufacturers across Illinois. Based in Northern Illinois, Mary has helped manufacturers create and retain more than 300 jobs by leading initiatives that deliver measurable impact.



In her leadership role, Mary oversees both the client engagement team and the service delivery team, ensuring the right mix of internal and external experts are connected to meet the unique needs of each client. She works closely with regional managers and specialists to identify workforce and operational challenges and deliver solutions that generate strong financial results and long-term success.



Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from LaSalle University. She is a certified Training Within Industry (TWI) trainer and coach for Job Instructions, Job Relations, and Job Methods, an OSHA-authorized outreach trainer for general industry, and a certified trainer with Development Dimensions International (DDI).

Scott Ellsworth

Principal and Owner of Scott Ellsworth Consulting and Sherpa Management Solutions

Scott Ellsworth is the Principal and Owner of Scott Ellsworth Consulting and Sherpa Management Solutions. As a contractor to Jobs for the Future, he works to more fully engage employers in developing and implementing effective apprenticeship programs and driving greater inclusion of all populations in the workforce. Prior to founding Scott Ellsworth Consulting, Scott was the Director of Business Leaders United for Workforce Partnerships (BLU), a Washington DC-based advocacy and education organization. He also has over 25 years of experience in managing a variety of manufacturing firms both large and small, including most recently as VP and General Manager of US Operations for Tipco Punch in Hamilton, Ohio. Scott holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Louisville and an MBA from LSU-Shreveport.
