I am currently the executive director for The National Alliance of Mental Illness local affiliate NAMI KDK. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Before finding my way to NAMI I worked 20+ years in the field of education as a Special Education teacher, Early Intervention at Head Start, and a Director in the early learning line of service for One Hope United.

I was raised in Lake Zurich Illinois and I am the baby of a blended family. My parents were activists during the civil rights movement and educators. Their influence led me to the world of education and advocacy. I now call Sugar Grove home with my husband Sheldon, Alexius, Ryan, and our two cats Dot & Dash.
