Each October, IMEC and the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association hit the road for a week-long, high-energy journey aboard the Makers on the Move bus to CELEBRATE Manufacturing Month. This statewide tour is dedicated to spotlighting Illinois’ vibrant manufacturing industry; one that’s modern, high-tech, energy efficient and independent, that expands talent pipelines.
The bus makes stops at manufacturing facilities, colleges, and high schools, offering a firsthand look at innovative technologies and exciting career paths in today’s manufacturing world. It’s a powerful opportunity to connect, inspire, and elevate the perception of manufacturing across Illinois.
