Energy management is a key priority for manufacturers, where high energy consumption impacts both operational costs and overall efficiency. Implementing an Energy Management System (EnMS) is a strategic move to reduce energy use, improve performance, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving industrial landscape.

This two-part workshop equips your team with the knowledge and tools needed to implement an EnMS, set impactful goals, and identify real energy-saving opportunities.


Workshop Day 1 – Building the Foundation

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4-Hour Session)

Focus: Laying the groundwork for your Energy Management System

  • Building the Team
    Identify key roles and ensure the right resources are in place.

  • Identifying Significant Energy Users
    Pinpoint which assets and processes consume the most energy.

  • Measuring Baseline Performance
    Learn how to establish energy baselines and track performance over time.

Homework:
Begin developing your facility’s customized EnMS framework.


Workshop Day 2 – Setting Objectives and Driving Improvement

Tuesday, June 3, 2025 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4-Hour Session)

Focus: Establishing energy goals and improvement strategies

  • Setting Performance Objectives
    Define measurable and achievable energy performance targets.

  • Driving Improvement
    Learn how to conduct energy “Treasure Hunts” to uncover opportunities for savings.

Born and raised in Central Illinois, I take great pride in the ability to help manufacturers improve their operational efficiencies. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and environments from metals and plastics to electronics recycling. I’ve developed a strong background in quality, safety, and continuous improvement. My past roles range from sales, sourcing, and operations & maintenance under wide range of Management Systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 50001.

I am passionate about consistently producing the best quality of service while always remaining positive, organized and ready to solve complex issues to improve performance. My diverse professional background grants me a unique perspective as to how management systems impact all processes within a company. At IMEC, I get to use my expertise and leverage a multitude of resources to help Illinois manufacturers create and sustain a competitive advantage.
