NiMCO Corporation partnered with IMEC and Transformed Sales to sharpen its sales strategy and build a more focused approach to lead generation, resulting in $2.17M+ in economic impact and a 10/10 client recommendation.

SITUATION

NiMCO Corporation had a strong product and a strong position in the market. As the only U.S. manufacturer of gable-top packaging machinery, NiMCO had a clear competitive advantage. But domestic and international business had declined, and the company needed a better way to identify the right prospects, communicate its value, and create new sales opportunities.

Through the ARPA initiative, IMEC connected NiMCO with Transformed Sales to help strengthen its sales strategy and build a more focused approach to lead generation.

SOLUTION

The engagement started with strategy. Before launching outreach, Transformed Sales worked with NiMCO to understand where the company had the strongest opportunity to compete, which buyers mattered most, and what messaging would help NiMCO stand out. The work included a SWOT and competitive analysis, clearer value propositions, and defined buyer personas across priority industries and markets. This gave NiMCO a much clearer picture of who to target, what mattered to those buyers, and how to position the company more effectively.

Once the foundation was clear, the strategy moved into action. Transformed Sales developed a personalized prospecting sequence designed to reach 500 qualified prospects across NiMCO’s priority markets. The campaign generated a 53% open rate, showing that the messaging was getting attention.

For capital equipment sales, however, attention is only the beginning. Purchasing decisions often involve longer sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and continued follow-up. Because of that, the engagement focused not only on generating initial interest, but also on giving NiMCO a repeatable way to nurture prospects and build future opportunities over time.

RESULTS

The engagement created both immediate and long-term business impact.

  • $20,000 in new sales
  • $20,000 in retained sales
  • $37,000 in cost savings
  • 45 jobs retained
  • $2,178,295 in total economic impact

Just as important, NiMCO left the engagement with a stronger foundation for future growth, including clearer positioning, defined buyer personas, a more focused prospecting strategy, and a repeatable approach to business development.

NiMCO’s Larry Bachner II rated the engagement a 10 out of 10 for likelihood to recommend, with high marks for understanding the problem, clarity of goals, technical expertise, and timeliness.

IMEC identified the business need and connected NiMCO with the right resource. Transformed Sales provided the sales strategy and execution needed to help NiMCO build a more focused and sustainable approach to growth.
