“The IMEC team was fantastic. The training gave our supervisors practical tools they could immediately apply, and we’re already seeing stronger communication, accountability, and teamwork across the organization.”
Christina LaBree
Office Manager

To support continued growth and strengthen its internal leadership capabilities, Midwest Packaging & Container partnered with IMEC to invest in its frontline supervisors, those closest to daily operations and team performance.

The company identified an opportunity to elevate supervisor effectiveness by strengthening communication, accountability, and coaching skills. With employees working across multiple shifts, Midwest Packaging needed a consistent leadership approach that would improve alignment, reinforce expectations, and foster a more cohesive culture.

IMEC delivered a comprehensive Advanced Supervisor Training program, designed to build practical leadership skills that supervisors could apply immediately. The engagement included 7 interactive sessions, engaging 8–10 supervisors, and providing more than 70 hours of training and coaching support.

The program combined leadership development with real-world applications, covering topics such as behavioral awareness, transitioning from individual contributor to leader, coaching for performance, delivering effective feedback, and navigating change. Through hands-on exercises and scenario-based learning, supervisors developed the skills needed to lead more effectively, communicate clearly, and address challenges proactively.

The Impact

As a result of the engagement, Midwest Packaging strengthened its leadership foundation and created momentum toward a more aligned and accountable workplace culture. Key outcomes included:

  • 7-session leadership program completed with full supervisor participation
  • 70+ hours of workforce training delivered to frontline leaders
  • 8–10 supervisors upskilled, impacting team performance across shifts
  • Improved communication and collaboration across teams
  • Increased supervisor confidence in managing performance and coaching employees
  • Stronger team cohesion and alignment around shared goals
  • A more proactive, solutions-oriented approach to day-to-day challenges

By investing in its people, Midwest Packaging is better positioned to sustain operational excellence and support long-term growth.
