Illinois manufacturing community leaders collaborate on awards ceremony to recognize the leaders, visionaries and corporate champions of manufacturing on October 18.
The ILPEx Recognition Program will partner with Memorial Health System in Springfield to introduce the principles of performance excellence to area businesses on May 23rd at the Memorial Center for Learning & Innovation, 600 N. Rutledge Street in Springfield, IL from 11:30AM to 2:00PM.
The McHenry County Workforce Network partners with a variety of local stakeholders to help live the vision to “create a skilled workforce in McHenry County that will help the community achieve economic prosperity.”
The ILPEx Recognition Program celebrated six organizations as 2016 recipients of the ILPEx Awards for Excellence. Selected by the ILPEx Panel of Judges, these organizations and individuals are recognized as those who have made significant achievements in the pursuit of performance excellence.
A recent study by the W.E. Upjohn Institute found the NIST-MEP Program generates a substantial economic and financial return of nearly 9:1 for the $130 million annually invested by the federal government.

The high performing organizations were evaluated against the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence by the ILPEx Board of Examiners as part of the annual application process and will be honored at the formal award ceremony on March 30, 2017.
IMEC is one of 23 regional workforce partnerships nationally to receive the funding. The America’s Promise grants are designed to accelerate the development and expansion of regional workforce partnerships committed to providing a pipeline of skilled workers in specific sectors.
IMEC, Purdue MEP, and DMDII were awarded $1.2 million by U.S. Department of Commerce NIST-MEP to address manufacturing priorities in digital technologies.
