Lending a Hand:
As a member of the IMEC team, I responsible for expanding business in the north central region of Illinois, developing relationships with area manufacturers, assessing their challenges as well as opportunities, and offer IMEC’s strategy, technology, and efficiency solutions to help them become more profitable and competitive.
I know what it takes to run and to turn around a manufacturing business in Illinois. I have over 25 years of executive level management experience in the defense, telecommunications, medical, plastics and metal fabrication markets. I founded and ran my own design and manufacturing business as well as having run a multinational corporation’s operations across North America.
Having been that person on the floor to a top level executive and I know the steps to take and the commitment it takes to make a manufacturer succeed. I will be there from the very start to project completion and beyond. My goal is to become a trusted advisor that a manufacturer can comfortably call up to ask questions and seek advice.
My background includes several operational turnarounds and a business startup. Immediately prior to joining IMEC, I was Vice President of Operations for a leading Midwest metal fabrication company.
I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a certificate from the University Of Chicago School Of Business in Finance for Executives. I am certified in Lean Manufacturing and Total Quality and Six Sigma with extensive experience in implementing lean thinking and lean tools throughout multiple levels in an organization.
I also have extensive experience in the following: Strategy Development, Policy Deployment, Quality Management Systems, Integrated Business Planning, P&L and Financial Management, Strategic Sourcing, Sales and Operations Planning, ERP implementation, Value Engineering, Design for Manufacturing, Safety Culture, Safety Improvement and managing multiple plants.
