This session has been cancelled.  Please contact Emily Lee with any questions.  Thank you.

How often are you faced with issues that linger and do not seem to go away?

How much time do you spend solving the same problems over and over again?

This course describes the methodologies and skills used to identify the origin or source of problems, including breaking down the problem definition and deriving good problem statements.  The course presents a survey of different analytical tools, such as pareto analysis, histograms, flow charts, and cause and effect (fishbone) diagrams which may be used to identify and understand the root cause of the adverse process performance.  Additionally, this course will focus on the team approach to problem-solving by introducing specific methods used by teams to derive problem/cause/solutions trategies.

This course uses standard examples, as well as specific company problems in the team exercises provided throughout the training.  The training focuses specifically on a problem that has been identified by the client and follows the problem-solving and root cause analysis process to discover actual causes resulting in the identified process breakdown.  Through this hands-on exercise, the client will be able to realize actual results leading to corrective or preventive action for eliminating the identified problem.
