2020 Pre-Conference Sessions on Performance Excellence

Prepare for the 2020 IMEC Conference on Enterprise Excellence with 2 interactive sessions that introduce the basics of performance excellence.
MORNING SESSION: Get Acquainted with Performance Excellence | 8:00am – Noon
How are you building your high performing team to achieve sustained success? Consider getting acquainted with the basics of performance excellence, the Malcolm Baldrige way! With a mix of interactive exercises, discussion, and JIT training, you’ll learn what the Baldrige Framework is, why it’s been used by millions worldwide, and why it might be a “best fit” continuous improvement framework for your organization. Also shared will be immediate ways to use the Framework to bring out the “better and better” in your team, processes, and organization.
Facilitator: Margaret Dospiljulian, an alumnus of Deloitte Management Consulting and Baxter International, is a management consultant specializing in performance excellence and marketing. As a Baldrige Excellence Framework and Lean SME, Margaret works with organizations across all industries to assist them in increasing the value they bring their customers, workforce, and bottom line. Having served as a Lead Senior Examiner for the National Malcolm Baldrige Award program, she is currently a member of the Panel of Judges for the IMEC Recognition Program, which administers Illinois’ recognition program modeled after the National Baldrige Award program.
AFTERNOON SESSION: Defining Your Performance Excellence Approach | 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Learn how to define your performance excellence approach completing a self-assessment and preparing for external feedback. Develop an understanding of how to get started, evaluating where you are in the organizational process, with tips and examples on how to get the most out of your evaluation, and understanding key points of the Baldrige Excellence Framework in relationship to your organization. This workshop is highly recommended for all applicants.
Facilitator: Joe Kilbride is the author of Road Map for the Baldrige Journey. An experienced consultant and Baldrige expert, Kilbride has worked with numerous organizations to accelerate their journey to excellence. He also serves as a member of the Panel of Judges for the IMEC Recognition Program, which administers Illinois’ recognition program modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
