Export Finance Manager | U.S. Small Business Administration

Keith Schlegel is an Export Finance Manager with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)’s Office of International Trade, whose mission is to enhance the ability of small businesses to compete in the global marketplace.

Based in the Chicago SBA Illinois District Office, Keith works with banks and SBA Resource Partners throughout Illinois and Wisconsin to increase access to capital for small business exporters. He brings experience in international trade, commercial lending, and supply chain finance.

Prior to joining the SBA, he has 20 years working in the private sector for a couple of financial institutions covering global trade & supply chain finance.

Ursula M. Wegrzynowicz

Export Finance Manager | Export Finance Manager

Ursula serves as the Export Finance Manager within the SBA’s Office of International Trade based in Chicago, IL. Ursula’s outreach efforts include working with lenders, US small businesses and the economic development ecosystem to ensure companies have access to vital working capital to grow their businesses and employment in the US.

Prior to joining SBA, Ursula was Deputy Managing Director for US EXIM Bank responsible for managing the business development team in the central part of the country. Ursula spent over a decade working as a specialty trade credit insurance broker assisting US based firms access domestic and foreign accounts receivable insurance to offer more competitive payment terms to customers, while protecting against non-payment and unlocking more availability with lines of credit issued by bankers. Ursula has also worked in logistics and international banking.

Ursula is an ex officio member of the Board of Directors of the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago (ITAGC). She is a wegg® Specialist for Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global®, an international non-profit organization dedicated to educating women business owners and entrepreneurs on how to go global. She has mentored companies through her role as an “Export Coach” enrolled in ExporTech™ a business accelerator program specific to export expansion plans. U

She received her B.A. from Loyola University Chicago and her M.A. from American University. She lives in Park Ridge, Illinois with her husband, three daughters, mom and a fluffy bichon poodle. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, long walks and ballroom dancing.
