July 28 Session: Adapting to New Workforce Expectations
“Employees will remember how the company behaved during this crisis and they will hold you accountable.”
~Elaine Branding, SVP Talent + Transformation, FleishmanHillard, TRUE Global Intelligence, Future of Work Study
A world-wide crisis like the pandemic can create a paradigm shift impacting policy, social behavior, business, and politics for years to come. Throughout these unsettling months, manufacturing has run the gamut from business as usual to a sweep of dramatic changes throughout plants and offices. Operators have been on-site running machines, and where possible, remote working has become part of the new norm. Join us for an intimate conversation with a small group of your peers where we’ll discuss first-hand how today’s leaders are adapting to new workforce expectations while enabling the survival of the business.
In order to fully participate in this conversation, be prepared to discuss the changes your workplace and workforce have undergone over the past 3-4 months. Companies with a combination of remote and on-site workers are ideal for this discussion.
Facilitator: Lisa Kenney, Technical Specialist | IMEC
What the Buzz Session Is: These invite-only interactive 60-90 minute sessions focus on critical topics in a small group peer setting. Manufacturing leaders sharing and learning from one another. Topics are based on leader priorities related to key drivers for global competitiveness. These are lightly facilitated conversations. The topic and your starting questions will be shared in advance of the roundtable. Active participation by all attendees will impact the vibrancy of the conversation.
What the Buzz Session Is Not: The Manufacturing Buzz Session is not a sit-back-and-listen presentation. And definitely not a sales pitch!
Who: Up to 10 manufacturing owners/senior leaders, plus an IMEC facilitator and note taker. Participation is exclusive to leaders from Illinois manufacturing companies.
Why: Ask for peer advice; share and learn best practices; network with other manufacturing leaders from across the state. And who knows, maybe you’ll form business opportunities together!
Where: Sessions are hosted on a virtual platform, with all participants using video.
