Lunch & Learn: Introduction to a Lean & Quality-Focused Culture

Hosted by IMEC and the Workforce Development Center of John Wood Community College, this Lunch & Learn provides business leaders with the opportunity to learn about the basic concepts of the Lean model, including involvement of the workforce and leadership. The session will also include the steps to develop a quality-centric roadmap to continuous improvement. Focusing on lean and quality measures at your organization can improve employee engagement, decrease operational costs and increase overall efficiency.

Lean is a systematic approach to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities through continuous improvement – to increase productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. The core goal in a Lean business is to maximize value to the customer while minimizing waste. This session will introduce how effective execution of a lean business model offers significant benefits to both the business and their customers, including:
