Emerging Leaders Boot Camp – Normal

When you think about your best workers, what steps are you taking to keep them at your company, and help them take on more responsibility?

Are you ready to invest in your new and upcoming leaders, to help them transition to new roles?

Registration includes:

  • 2 full days of interactive training
  • DiSC Personality Profile – Individual detailed report about your personality and behavior. You’ll also receive tips related to working with people of other styles.
  • 1 hour of individualized, follow-up coaching

The skills developed through the Emerging Leaders Boot Camp will equip new and emerging leaders to confidently assume their supervisory responsibilities.  This training will help retain strong employees as they transition to leadership opportunities.

  • DiSC Profile feedback, which highlights one’s leadership style and how to maximize relationships and productivity based on behavior
  • Skills to deal with early challenges, including the transition to leading others and building trust as a leader

Each participant will complete the DiSC Personality Profile, which informs you of your style and how you behave with and react to others, and helps you understand how to improve relationships with other people and improve your productivity. The DiSC is completed prior to training, allowing participants to receive a full profile assessment and individual feedback on Day 1.

Your Leadership Journey

  • This session equips a new or prospective leader with the knowledge and skills they need to confront the challenges faced early in their leader career. Encouraging the learner to think about the transitions that newer leaders face and how to handle those challenges, participants are introduced to three leadership differentiators that are most important to building a positive reputation as well as contributing to the organization’s success.

    • Reduce the stress associated with the shift to leading others.
    • Act with authenticity to build trust.
    • Bring out the best in others to enhance engagement and capacity.
    • Look for and accept feedback with grace.

Communicating for Leadership Success

  • Organizations need leaders who can do more and be more in order to succeed in today’s complex environment. They need front line leaders with strong interpersonal skills who can get things done by mobilizing and engaging others.  This foundation session helps leaders learn to communicate effectively so they can spark action in others.
  • Session Objectives
    • Achieve results through others by building strong interpersonal relationships.
    • Plan for successful interactions with team members ─ in person and virtually.
    • Provide meaningful, supportive feedback that motivates team members and helps individuals improve their performance.
    • Impact business outcomes by consistently meeting the personal and practical needs of others.

Coaching for Peak Performance

  • Effective coaching is one of the most important drivers of team member performance. Whether leaders are guiding people toward success in new or challenging situations or helping people improve or enhance their work performance, their ability to coach and provide feedback makes the difference between mediocrity and high performance.  By helping learners understand the importance of three coaching techniques and how to effectively handle both proactive and reactive coaching discussions, this course helps leaders have more effective and efficient interactions.

    • Encourage people to take ownership of, and be accountable for, their work performance.
    • Create a work environment where people are comfortable taking on the risks associated with new responsibilities.
    • Boost morale, improve productivity, and increase profitability by coaching for peak performance in each person.
    • Manage work performance issues in a fair, consistent manner.
