Fundamentals of Continuous Improvement Series
March 10 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
The 6-part Fundamentals of Continuous Improvement Series meets every Tuesday from March 10 through April 14.
Meeting today’s manufacturing challenges demands a lean enterprise — streamlining product design and manufacturing by applying lean manufacturing principles, concepts and techniques. The primary focus of this effort is the continuous elimination of waste in the company’s business processes. Implementing Lean practices involves changing a work area or a business process to maximize efficiency, improve quality and safety, eliminate unnecessary motion and inventory, and save time and resources. Participants also engage with real-life scenarios from the hands-on factory simulation throughout the day!
By experiencing the six course simulations in the Continuous Improvement Series, participants will have the knowledge, tools and application examples required to begin a Lean transformation.
The six courses within the series include:
- Lean 101 – March 10
- Value Stream Mapping & 5S/Workplace Organization – March 17
- Quick Changeover – March 24
- Cellular/Flow Manufacturing – March 31
- Lean Leadership/Change Management – April 7
- Pull/Kanban Systems & Total Productive Maintenance – April 14
Cancellations made within 7 days of series start may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
