BRACE FOR IMPACT: How a Foreign Trade Zone Can Mitigate Tariff Risk

February 19

11:30 am - 12:30 pm

BRACE
FOR
IMPACT.

As tariffs continue to loom on the horizon, the potential impact could be huge in terms of real costs and cash flow hits to Illinois manufacturers. The Foreign Trade Zone, (FTZ)  a program offered by the Greater Rockford Airport Authority, provides a real tool companies can use to mitigate the impact of tariffs by deferring the customs clearance process, thereby improving cash flow, increasing control of their supply chain, and in some cases decreasing the real cost impact of tariffs.

The webinar will include:

  • An overview of the Foreign Trade Zone Program and specific benefits to Illinois companies
  • Case studies of how different industries use the Foreign Trade Zone program to improve cash flow and reduce cost
  • Steps of how companies can activate their facilities as Foreign Trade Zone

As potential tariffs may impact Illinois companies, this session will provide specific steps companies can take to use the FTZ to mitigate the financial impact of tariffs.
