Rethinking your Design Process: 3D Printing – Hannibal

December 6 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Bob Beckmann, tech expert with Missouri Enterprise, helps companies develop prototypes and models to enhance their existing products or create new ones. And with 3D printing now available as a resource, this process is faster, more economical, and more precise than ever. Advancements in the 3D printing technology, equipment and materials has resulted in the costs being driven down, making it a more feasible option to general manufacturing use. Traditional manufacturing has to deal with the ever-growing demands of the world but it has some restrictions. That is where 3D printing can step in to take over. 3D printing for manufacturing comes with a number of exciting and unique advantages when compared with traditional manufacturing.

In this class we will explore how small to medium size manufacturers can benefit from this technology, look at the equipment needed (3D CAD modeling software), and discover how it can be an affordable means for prototyping and product development.
