Position: Assistant IT Systems Analyst
Location: Bradley University campus
The Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC), located on the Bradley University campus is seeking candidates for the position Assistant IT Systems Analyst.
The Assistant IT Systems Analyst will help evaluate, select and implement new systems to improve the operations of the organization. This position will work with other IT staff and users to understand the organization’s requirements to craft effective solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and identify new systems to address needs. Currently a Windows/Windows Server/Lotus environment.
- Effectively communicate with vendors to assess product and tools.
- Effectively integrate products or tools into a cohesive system.
- Assist in the development and design of policies and procedures to ensure effective system operation.
- Examine and evaluate current systems.
- Train new users on new operation systems and provide support.
- Test and validate program changes.
- Remain current with technologies and technical developments.
- Develop and manage project specifications, technical design and requirements.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline with 3-5 years’ experience managing projects, developing systems, implementing systems or the equivalent is required. Proficiency in one or more programming languages and experience implementing CRM systems is strongly preferred. IBM Domino experience desirable, but not required
Candidates must understand data structures and possess good problem solving skills and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and team leadership abilities and have the capacity to work with cross functional teams to accomplish goals. Individual must be a team player with the ability to exercise independent, sound judgment and discretion; be able to plan; be well organized; work well under pressure; take initiative, and be flexible and cooperative.
Position requires the ability to sit for long periods at a computer terminal. Some walking, standing, and bending are required. Normal office environment and standard hours with extended hours and weekend work as required. Position requires the ability to travel to locations as needed and the ability to drive/operate an automobile.
$45,000 – $55,000 based on a candidates experience and qualifications
