Lending a Hand
I bring four decades of industry and NFP experience to my IMEC role. Most of my years were spent in leadership positions for a Fortune 100 company in the areas of concurrent product and process development, product validation and systems integration, research, and strategic planning. From initial assignments of assembling and testing products ‘on the line’ to developing products that meet or exceed customer expectations on high-volume applications, this learning journey afforded many opportunities to acquire new skills and knowledge. I learned the importance of driving towards zero defects, continuous improvement, working well together as a multi-discipline team, melding innovation and creativity with well-founded processes, and bringing the best people, processes, and tools together to deliver world class products.
I am passionate about making a difference. It is very gratifying to know that I was part of a team of individuals working together to deliver excellence to customers. It’s equally fulfilling for me to help others gain knowledge, experience, and skills as they learn to apply them and then pass those competencies on to others.
My Background
I grew up in Illinois and earned my Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Illinois as well as a Master’s in Engineering Administration at Bradley University. I have been fortunate to have held positions that allowed me to develop a wide variety of skills in engineering, quality, research, technology, teamwork, business, and leadership. I very much enjoy applying those in helping IMEC clients succeed. Organizations succeed only because of their people. Helping people grow and succeed helps organizations grow and succeed. And I have a passion for both.
