About:
Born and brought up amidst one of the biggest industrial areas of the Gujarat state in India, I had the opportunity to visit many manufacturing facilities and listen in on their successes as well as turmoil. From here, I developed a passion for automation. My education and experience have taught me that automation is not just buying robots to do the work but creating a process which includes all aspects from procurement of raw materials up until final product supply.
As a Technical Specialist at IMEC, I get to use my background in automation to help Illinois manufacturers integrate traditional manufacturing processes with the use of robotics and other advanced manufacturing technologies to make them more efficient and productive.

Results
I led a process improvement project where I implemented the automation-working-algorithm to reduce the wastage of money, time and energy in building a product resulted into reduced overall company loses by 7 percent.
