What advice do you give someone with an idea, a plan, or a change they want to make in the world? ‘Start.’ – Anonymous
To start, I am immensely interested in political affairs and wanted a career that would get me involved in the legislative process. More importantly, I wanted to pursue a career that would see political policy transformed into meaningful change to help people.
I have long believed that one of the most meaningful policies that elected leadership can pursue is investing in manufacturing. Factory jobs jump-start critical economic development, possessing an immense multiplier effect. Therefore, it just made perfect sense that I took my expertise in analysis, research, writing, and grants to support an organization like IMEC.
At IMEC, I work closely with the president of the organization, David Boulay. I aid him in his legislative affairs, ensuring elected officials remember the important role IMEC plays in igniting manufacturing excellence in Illinois manufacturing base. And likewise, I assist in helping manufacturers take advantage of the government resources allocated for them to use to achieve growth and build global competitiveness.
