... inside one company’s pursuit of a competitive edge
In a speech ringing with emotion, Black Bros. Co. President Matt Carroll described why he is confident the fifth generation family owned manufacturer will weather intense foreign and domestic competition and not only survive, but thrive. "Our greatest asset is our people," said Carroll, addressing 65 associates - many with 30-plus years experience with Black Bros. Co. - who gathered for an afternoon luncheon in the Customer Test Lab. "We have many aggressive competitors and face new threats from China and Japan. Our customers are setting the price. We must reinvent our company by going Lean." With that, Black Bros. Co. officially kicked-off its Lean Enterprise Program.
