Peoria Production Shop
Peoria Production Shop was founded in 1941, initially to provide employment for recovering tuberculosis patients. In 1951, the organization was incorporated as a not-for-profit, and we expanded our mission to employ individuals with all types of disabilities.
As our capabilities have grown, our mission has remained the same: to provide training, employment and encouragement that allows individuals with disabilities to achieve financial and social independence.
For more than 40 years Peoria Production Shop has been manufacturing and supplying the highest quality gait transfer belts to major medical facilities, nursing homes, physical therapists, and other organizations across the United States.
We offer a full line of custom services for companies of all sizes. PPS delivers high-quality service for packaging, assembly, sewing, cut to length, light fabrication, re-work and salvage, marking and identification, shipping and tracking. Our top products include gait belts and medical devices. We offer personalization and inmpring of cloth and vinyl gait belts.
From earth moving equipment to automobiles; medical devices to consumer products, Illinois is home to 20,000 manufacturers employing nearly 600,000 people.
IMEC, along with our strategic partners, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and other friends of manufacturing, have launched this on-line resource to showcase the diversity of products made here and celebrate the companies that manufacture them. In towns from Chicago to Carbondale, manufacturing is the engine that powers the Illinois economy.
