If you are interested in food safety training opportunities, please contact Ken Wunderlich, IMEC Food Specialist.The Preventive Controls for Human Food course was developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance under a grant from the FDA and is the only FDA approved training course to meet the FSMA requirements for Hazard Analysis Preventive Controls for food processors. Covered facilities must establish and implement a food safety system that includes an analysis of hazards and risk-based preventive controls.
This 2.5 day course (April 26-28) will ensure compliance and provide you with the knowledge to develop your food safety plans to meet the new and enhanced FDA requirements that go into effect over the next 3 years, depending on the size of your company.
This course will provide you with a Certificate of Training that will be a part of your requirements to be a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual” and this will allow you to demonstrate that you have attended the recommended training to be able to develop, implement and monitor the preventive controls aspect of your company’s food safety plans.
