Opportunity #1

The U.S. DOT Federal Transit Administration is seeking domestic manufacturers of Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier III Trunked ultra high frequency (UHF) Radio Systems, in conjunction with DOT Buy America procurement provisions. The items being sought are the necessary components of a UHF radio communications system for a municipal transportation authority. The system includes portable radios, mobile radios, and base station/repeater components that operate as a communications network and will serve as the radio communications system for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA).

Opportunity #2

The U.S. DOT Federal Transit Administration is seeking domestic manufacturers of Horizontal Lifeline Fall Protection Maintenance Tie Back Systems to be used as the maintenance personnel safeguard system on the Downtown Transit Center being constructed in Indianapolis. This is a safety system that includes lifeline cables, end brackets, splices, terminations, support stantions, lanyard coupler devices, and support harnesses. The systems attach to the Downtown Transit Center roof structure and must accommodate four users on any one section of lifeline.

Opportunity #3

An Illinois-based manufacturer is seeking a manufacturing partner for components of a new product design. The sourcing request includes foam, fabric, and fabrication of an attached anti-rotation wedge for application in the medical/healthcare industry. The supplier should be ISO 13485 registered.

 

Item materials include a Tricot fabric exterior. Minicel L200 foam is preferred, but open to sampling other foams with similar properties. The material needs to be non-aborbant and light-weight; preferrably soft.  The finished product will need to withstand commercial washer/dryer cycles without significant degradation.
